The UCR Bioengineering/Chemical and Environmental Engineering GAANN Outreach Effort is our opportunity to support the community to encourage young people to prepare and consider science and engineering careers.

2007 GAANN Fellowship Recipients

The GAANN Fellowship recipients worked with

• The Accelerated School (TAS) in Los Angeles, and
• Riverside Community College (RCC).
• They are now working with Matthew Gage Middle School in Riverside.

In 2006-2007, the GAANN Fellowship recipients joined the faculty at TAS and the Wallis Annenberg High School at TAS every month to work with students on both short-term and long-term projects while the fellowship recipients learn pedagogy from the TAS faculty. See their report.

At RCC, the GAANN Fellowship recipients provide monthly presentations on their work to students interested in engineering degrees.
