Devin McBride Takes 1st Place Poster Award at the 10th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium

Devin

Devin McBride received the 1st Place in Distinguished Poster Presentation at the 10th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium held on June 19-21 at UC Merced. The poster entitled "Development of in-Silico Methods for Estimating Ion Binding of BSA for Prediction of Non-Idealities in Osmotic Pressure in Concentrated Solutions" illustrated how in-silico methods used by the BioModeL group (Professor Dimitri Morikis) can be employed to explain macroscopic osmotic pressure predictions developed by the B2K Group (Professor V.G.J. Rodgers). The award was sponsored by Technical Instruments. Approximately 40 posters were in the competition.

UC Riverside had 20 students and four faculty members attend the annual event at Merced this year. Approximately 185 people registered for the symposium.

Congratulations Devin!
