Two Students Awarded at 14th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium

Atena Zahedi and Carissa Reynolds both win poster presentation awards at the 14th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium. The 14th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium was held on June 19-21, 2013 in San Diego, California. Atena Zahedi, a second year Ph.D. student working with Dr. Iryna Ethell, won best poster presentation award for her work on “Optogenetic Control of Cofilin-Induced Synaptic Loss in Alzheimer’s Disease”.

Carissa Reynolds was awarded for her poster presentation, entitled "Detection of Cerebral Edema Using Optical Coherence Tomography". Carissa is a third year Ph.D. student working in Dr. Park's lab.
