Professor Will Grover receives research grant to study bumblebees

Assistant Professor of Bioengineering William Grover received a grant from the Frank G. and Janice B. Delfino Agricultural Technology Research Initiative in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at UC Riverside. Dr. Grover will be working with Prof. Hollis Woodard of the UCR Department of Entomology developing tools to accelerate research on bumblebees. The recent declines in the populations of bumblebees and other pollinators threatens our food supply. By automating labor-intensive experiments in bumblebee research, the project by Profs. Grover and Woodard will provide valuable new tools to scientists working to understand and reverse the decline in pollinator populations.
